Level 1 – Never touched a machine or have threaded a needle?
Level 2 – Have some working knowledge of sewing terms and machines. You can sew a straight line, hand sew a button, or hem a pant.
Level 3 – You can sew any simple item without help, read patterns and you just want to further your skills or do projects with others.
Kids – Minimum age must be at least 8 years old.

$85 for 2 Hours

If you don’t find a project based class or the time doesn’t fit in your schedule, you can book a private lesson.
To help alter or make a pattern, the base cost is $60/hour but can vary pending on difficulty of the project.

$10 per hour for the first two hours.
$8 per each additional hour.



$50 for full access to the sewshop during store hours.

 
Learn the complete process of silkscreening, from burning the screen to processing and printing on to a t-shirt.

What you need to bring:
- Bring one color artwork on 8 1/2x11 transparent paper (ink jet transparent paper works well) You can also go to Kinko's to have them print it out. (REQUEST TO PRINT ON COLOR MACHINE - black is much darker)
- Image must be printed in SOLID BLACK (just to be safe, bring 2 pages of the same for layering)
- Bring the item you want to print on OR you can choose a t-shirt or tank from our selection (included in class price)

If you just want to learn the process and don't have a particular artwork you want to print, you can choose from our selections.

Level 2-3: $145 - 3 sessions

Who can't use a little wrap dress that makes you look effortlessly sexy?!? Wrap dresses are my fave summer must have items - its simple, easy and always in style. You can make this dress with or with out neck ruffle trim. 

What you need to bring:
 - Basic sewing kit
 - 3 yards of 40"/45" OR 2 1/2 yards of wider fabric width in light weight cotton or cotton blends but must be non- stretch
 - 6 yards of 1/2" or 5/8" bias tape IF you don't want to use same fabric as dress
 - 1/4 yard lining fabric for pocket lining (must be very light weight)


Level 2-3: $110 Class Fee - 2 sessions

This will become your little "go-to-blouse" for those days you want to look cute w/out the fuss. Great way to learn how to make buttonholes and set in a collar. 

What you need to bring:
 - 2 yard of light weight cotton fabric for majority (non-stretch)
 - Basic sewing kit 
 - 5 buttons (1/2" to 3/4" size buttons)

 All Levels: $70 Class Fee including materials (3 items to take home!)

This fun and efficient class we will master new skills and whip out ready to go professional looking crafts to keep or have on hand for last minute gifts. we’ll make natural soy candles and pair them with a cute decoupaged matchboxes, a selection of felt & fabric brooches, pins or hairclips and create decoupage collage pendants we'll turn into jewelry.

What you need to bring:
*Please bring any cute papers, fabrics for collage as well as any containers or jars for candles or feel free to use ours!

 

All Levels: $75 Class Fee including materials (3 full sets to take home!)

Next time you slip into the bath and relax you can use your own handmade bath and body goodies. we'll create a full line of products focusing on natural and easy to find ingredients and then personalize them with creative packaging using fabulous papers and collage materials. you'll leave this class with three full sets including salt and sugar scrubs, bath 'cookies' (exfoliating bath salt bars that look like cookies), soaps, bath salt sachets, moisturizing lip balms, and lip glosses perfect to keep or give as gifts.

What you need to bring:
*bring in any papers or images to decorate your containers and any empty jars or feel free to use ours. you'll also get a resource list for ingridients so you can make more goodies at home.

This class will spark your creativity as you learn some basic techniques of working with textiles to create one of a kind pins, headbands, hairclips, necklaces and more. we’ll explore three techniques to make our finished pieces…
-vintage inspired flowers created from yarn, wire, string and raffia on looms
-retro fabric sewn yo-yo circles
-felt as a medium to create unique designs
you’ll finish your pieces by learning how to turn the completed designs into wearable art with some basic sewing and jewelry making skills.

Explore two fun and simple jewelry making genres (resin & collage tile & shrink plastic art) as you’re guided in composition, design, technique and more. (great for kids too!)

 - If you would like to use contrasting fabric - 3/4 yard of majority fabric and 1/4 yard of contrast fabric

Everyone inquired about how to make curtains and pillows so here is your opportunity to personalize your home. I will offer 2 different curtain options and pillow casing to fit any size you desire. 

What you need to bring:
 - Fabric of your choice
 - Thread to match your fabric 
 - Basic sewing kit 

Level 1, $45 Class Fee + $5 Material Fee

Tote Bag: Level 2, $60 Class Fee

Now that you know the basics of sewing, let's make a utility tote together. You will need to know the skills from Basic Sewing Part 1 for this class. We will provide a screen printed natural colored cotton canvas for this project.

What you need to bring:
- Basic sewing kit, your own fabric if you don’t like ours (about 1 ½ yards to be safe, pre-washed if you plan on washing it later)
- Please choose a light weight cotton or canvas fabric

 Level 2, $60 Class Fee

We will be working on Amy Butler’s Gum drop pillow pattern. You will have a choice to make either the 18” pillow or 24” ottoman. You can mix and match 2 different coordinating prints or use a solid color fabric.

What you need to bring:

- Basic sewing kit
- 44” wide light to mid-weight fabric OR 54” heavier home décor fabric
- For 24” ottoman:
- If using one fabric 2 ¼ yards
- If using 2 coordinating fabrics – 1 1/8 yards of each fabric
- 10 bags of 12oz filling (stuffing) If you want to fill/stuff at home no need to bring this.

- For 18” pillow:
- If using one fabric 2 yards
- If using 2 coordinating fabrics – 1 yard of each fabric
- 1 Spool of coordinating all-purpose thread (we carry thread in store)
- 7 bags of 12oz filling (stuffing) If you want to fill/stuff at home no need to bring this.



Level 2, $45 Class Fee

Learn how to hem pants/skirts, take in the body width of almost anything and shorten sleeves with cuffs. This class works best if you bring in something of yours that you’d like to alter.

What you need to bring:
- Basic sewing kit
- Please bring at least 2 different options just incase one is not a simple alteration


Level 3: $55 Class Fee + $5 Material Fee

After learning the basics of sewing you will need these skills to add the finishing touches to a garment or to add high end quality to a garment. You will learn how to:
- Set in a zipper (regular or invisible)
- French seam
- Bind seams w/ bias trim
- Miter corner
- Bound button holes

What you need to bring:
- Basic sewing kit

These tools can be purchased at the store at 10% off if you are enrolled in a class.
The basic sewing kit should consist of:
- Fabric shears
- Tape measure
- Glass or stainless steel headed pins
- Tailors chalk
- 2” Transparent ruler
- Seam ripper
- Thread snippers
- Hand sewing needle
